Tickets $26 (Fri & Sat) and $21 (Sun), including a $5 bar credit

The action heats up this summer as Running With Scissors stumbles back to Le Chat Noir, bringing to life everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure: Jacqueline Susann’s VALLEY OF THE DOLLS! In 2005, the company performed the show as a one-night-only staged reading, and fans have been clamoring for us to do a full production ever since. Which only goes to prove: clamor and y’all shall receive!
One part homage, one part parody, Running With Scissors' adaptation of Susann’s camp classic follows three very different young women as they enter the tantalizing, treacherous world of show-biz: Anne Welles (Brian Peterson), a WASPy good girl in search of true love; Jennifer North (Dorian Rush), a knockout model with seriously bad luck...

The Maafa is just hours away. Our route is different and about 2 miles
long this year. We will begin in Congo Square and end in Algiers after
crossing the Mississippi River on the Canal Street Ferry. If you wish you can
follow the walk in your vehicles. We can drive about 25 vehicles onto the
ferry. This will help as we carpool back to the Eastbank.
Our observance will begin promptly at 6:30am and leave Congo Square at 7am
sharp!
Remember to dress in white. If you want to buy Maafa t-shirts or white
umbrellas you can purchase them at Ashe' or in Congo Square at the
beginning of
the Maafa. We will have water for everyone along the route.
This year's commemoration bridges the Eastbank and Westbank and brings New
Orleans together in unity like never before!
You are invited to bring a percussion instrument that you are able to
carry and play easily.
For more information call Ashe' @ (504)569-9070.
