2008 PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES
presents
A Red Light Look at New Orleans

A chronologic history of bawdy old New Orleans, including the correctional girls, the casket girls, quadroon balls, Storyville other red light districts, the Blue Books, jazz and prominent personalities. A lecture presented by Pamela Arceneaux, Rare Books Librarian at the Historic New Orleans Collection.

The lecture will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 6:00PM at the Historic New Orleans Collection, 533 Royal Street, New Orleans. The lecture is free for SOC members. A contribution of $5.00 is suggested for non-members.

Following the lecture , please join us at 7:30 PM
for a classic Creole dinner at Arnaud’s Restaurant, 813 Rue Bienville, New Orleans. Contact Save Our Cemeteries at 504-525- 3377 to make dinner reservations.
