Cypress bayou weekend is a benefit for the Louisiana Himalaya Association(LHA), a non-profit volunteer staffed organization working with volunteers in New Orleans and with the Tibetan Refugees in the Himalayas of Northern India.



Join in for a time of relaxation on the first weekend of spring. Set in water front cabins in the natural splendor of the Atchafalaya Basin Swamp, participants will have the opportunity to come together for meditation, yoga, tai chi, art workshops, canoeing, hiking, biking, Tibetan prayer flag making, Tibetan food and much more! Group activities will be open yet optional, giving each individual the opportunity to create his or her own personal experience.



Accommodations are provided in comfortable water front cabins. Each cabin has central air/heat, screened porch with rockers and porch swing, furnished kitchen and living area with fireplace. Sleeping arrangements may vary from shared rooms with bunk beds to private rooms or a private cabin. Organic vegetarian meals will be provided on fri, sat and sun with thurs eve being a pot luck.



Participants may arrive or depart anytime during the weekend. Cabins will be available from 3PM on Thurs until 11AM on Sunday. The closing lunch will be a Tibetan feast with Live Cajun Music !
