Driskell received the award at a recent IHG Leadership Conference held in Dallas, Texas. The award recognizes exceptional financial performance, an active role in the community and a well-developed relationship with the hotel owners.The General Managers of all North American InterContinental hotels vie for this title every year, making Driskell's accomplishments even more notable.
According to Andrew Done, Director of Sales and Marketing for InterContinental New Orleans, the IHG Leadership Conference provides guidance to InterContinental local properties in their efforts to serve their local communities.
"Martin is an inspiration. He has consistently led the InterContinental in efforts to give back to the New Orleans community through local partnerships with organizations such as Bridge House, the United Way and the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association," said Done.
