As New Orleans tourism promoters prepare for the spring redeployment of their nationwide marketing campaign to travelers, they are boosting the campaign's web site, followyournola.com, to let visitors create custom itineraries through the city.
A new option also allows people to examine the recommendations of local celebrities, such as chefs Emeril Lagasse and Susan Spicer and musician Jon Cleary.
An announcement from the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation says the goal is to "inspire people to see New Orleans as a real, authentic cultural destination, and to practically help them plan a trip and navigate every corner of the city."
The full marketing campaign will re-launch soon with broadcast and Internet advertising in targeted cities across the country.
