The Federal Highway Administration, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and the Louisiana Regional Planning Commission hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, October 13 to officially commence work on downtown roads damaged during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Kurt Weigle, DDD President & CEO, gave remarks on the importance of the project to Downtown.
Repairs will be made to several selected downtown streets, including Camp, Carondelet, Common, Girod, Gravier, LaSalle, Loyola, Magazine, Poydras, and St. Charles Avenue.
