The new daily nonstop begins tonight with the arrival of an Airbus A-320 which seats 138 passengers. The flight will depart San Francisco at 4:15 p.m. and arrive in New Orleans at 10:21 p.m. The flight will depart New Orleans at 6:55 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 9:40 a.m.
“We are pleased with United’s decision to bring San Francisco back to the New Orleans market,” stated Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation for Armstrong International Airport. San Francisco was the top destination that did not have non-stop service.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu stated, “This is certainly welcome news, as it provides an important connection to a major West Coast destination and offers a direct connection for business, convention and leisure visitors to New Orleans. It is also a positive indicator of growth at Louis Armstrong International Airport, and continued recognition of New Orleans as a desirable destination.”
