Choice Aire has started nonstop flights from New Orleans to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The twice-weekly flights start at $499 round-trip.

Choice Aire, operated by XTRA Airways, announced the new service to Ramon Villeda Morales International Airport in October, among the latest nonstop international flights added at Louis Armstrong International Airport. The service started Dec. 17.

The flights leave on Wednesdays and Saturdays from New Orleans. Round-trip fare includes one carry-on bag and one checked bag weighing up to 20 pounds as well as in-air beverage and snack service.

Choice Aire is using a 150-seat Boeing 737-400 to fly the three-hour connection, which includes 12 first-class seats and 138 standard class seats.

Choice Aire, headquartered in Miami, is a public charter airline that offers connections to Honduras and Cuba.
