New Orleans-area hotels report higher numbers in January

 

New Orleans-area hotels saw increases in occupancy, average daily rates and revenue in January compared to the same month in 2018.

Occupancy stood at 64.5 percent, a 5.7 percent increase from last January, according to hotel data and analytics specialist STR.

Average daily rates were $142.76, a 0.8 percent increase from last January’s rate of $141.59.

Revenue per room was $92.13, a 6.6 percent jump.

STR collects data from hotels in Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Plaquemines and Orleans parishes for its New Orleans market analysis.
