New Orleans Saints partner with Carnival Cruise Lines

The New Orleans Saints have signed a multi-year agreement with Carnival Cruise Lines to boost the exposure of both brands in the New Orleans area the cruise line said Friday (Oct. 2). Carnival will position advertisements inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and on the team's website, and fans at Saints home games will be eligible to win free Caribbean cruises departing from New Orleans.

In exchange, Carnival will begin offering football-themed deck parties, called "Saints Sailgate Sailaways," on its New Orleans-based ships. Carnival also will support the Saints' Read and Rise program, which promotes children's literary in the city.

Carnival, New Orleans biggest cruise operator, began sailing from the Port of New Orleans year-round in 1994. Its New Orleans ships include the Carnival Dream, which offers seven-day cruises to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida, and the Carnival Elation, which offers four- and five-day cruises to Mexico
