More travelers passed through Louis Armstrong International Airport in March than the same month last year.
Enplanements were up 5.2 percent from about 477,000 to 489,000 passengers. Deplanements climbed from 475,000 to 496,000 passengers. That’s a 6.1 percent increase, according to numbers released Friday.
February was another busy month at the airport. Michelle Wilcut, the airport’s deputy director and chief customer service officer, said the increase in passengers and revenue could be contributed to the Carnival season.
