Spirit Airlines will launch daily nonstop service between New Orleans and Los Angeles in April as part of its expanding West Coast presence, the company said this week.
Flights from Louis Armstrong International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport will begin April 14, 2016.
The low-cost airliner is adding new and expanded service connecting Los Angeles to seven cities, including New Orleans, San Francisco, Seattle-Tacoma, Portland, Ore., Phoenix, Denver and Philadelphia.
Spirit Airlines is also launching its inaugural nonstop flight from New Orleans to Las Vegas on Friday.
With the addition of Los Angeles, Spirit Airlines will have nonstop service from New Orleans to a total of seven cities, including Chicago, Fort Lauderdale-Miami, Houston, Dallas and Detroit.
