Assistant General Manager plays a leading role in managing personnel. Oversight of inventory, purchasing and supplies is central to the job. Responsible for supporting all aspects of the operation including employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation. Assisting the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property strategies. Breakfast, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Front Office Inventory/ordering and maintaining par levels. Ensure to stay within monthly budget numbers for expenses. Maintains filing system for business matters. Prepare materials/agendas/minutes in advance of meetings as required. Maintains and develops internal and external customer relationships through effective communication, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner, and by keeping the General Manager informed of problems matters of significance so prompt corrective action can be taken. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary. Understands and follows guest service recovery program. Follows up and responds to chargebacks, guests reviews, guest requests, messages and complaints in a timely manner. Follows up with department managers on any guests complaints. Proper reconciliation of reservations, commissions, travel cards and FX reservations and daily parking charges. Follows up with accounts payable and receivable, follow up with invoices discrepancies. Perform other duties as assigned and needed. Competencies/Skills Required: Previous customer service and administrative experience requires, preferably in the hospitality or service industry. Word processing, spreadsheet, and basic computer knowledge required. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills. Attention to detail, customer focus and the ability to perform job duties in a fast paces environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
