November 30 2007 | Latest NewsThe Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association recently announced that Mavis Early will join them as its first full-time Executive Director. Early is an attorney at law with experience in business, civic, charitable and governmental affairs.
Early will lead the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association and represent the interests of the hotel and lodging industry. Working with private, civic and community partners GNOHLA will work for the common good of the hotel and lodging industry, the Greater New Orleans Area and the continuing development and success of the city.
Mavis Early is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a graduate of Loyola University School of Law. Early began her law career in private practice and later went on to serve as City Attorney for the City of New Orleans from 1999 to 2002. Before joining the association Early was engaged in private civil law practice, with a concentration in business and real estate law.
Bill Langkopp, longtime Executive Director of GNOHLA, will remain on staff part-time focusing on education and governmental affairs.
GNOHLA has recently relocated to new offices in the Convention and Visitors Bureau Building at 2020 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130.

Since 1924, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association has been the professional trade organization of lodging professionals of the New Orleans area. The association is an industry resource supporting activities in a variety of focus areas including education and professional training; legislative support and public issues management; operations and productivity assistance; government and business relations; crime prevention; and membership communications.
