Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association Responds to False Social Media Post Regarding Ice Activity

November 20 2025 | Latest News

The Greater New Orleans Hotel Association (GNOHLA) is aware of a social media post circulating today that falsely claims Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are stationed outside the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The post includes an image that is not current and misrepresents the situation.

The photo being shared was taken during the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans and does not reflect present-day activity. There is currently no indication of ICE stationing, activating, or operating at the Hilton or at any other hotel in the city.

We urge the public and visitors to rely on official sources for accurate information. Spreading misinformation can cause unnecessary concern and harm to our community and hospitality industry.

New Orleans remains a welcoming destination for all travelers. Our hotels are committed to providing safe, comfortable accommodations and ensuring that guests enjoy the vibrant culture and hospitality our city is known for.
